Paro Tshechu Festival - Amedewa Tours And Trek

Paro Tshechu is one of the most popular events in Bhutan. It is held for 5 days and it starts on the 10th day of 2nd Bhutanese lunar month and ends on the 15th day.

The 5 days Tshechu consist of mask dances, cultural programme and people gather in their best colourful attires to spend time with friends and families.

On the last day of the festival, a large Thangka ( embroided Painting)  of Guru Rinpoche is displayed to public.

Day 1: Arrival in Paro International Airport

Day 3:  Day hike Thimphu
  • Hike to Dodeydrak monastery and if time permits explore trail from Buddha Dordenma to Changangkha
  • Visit Homestays and mingle with locals if interested

Day 4: Drive to Punakha

Day 5: Punakha to Paro

Day 6: Paro Tshechu 
  • We will attend the Paro Tshechu for the whole day today, mingle with the locals and know more about the Tshechu
