The annual Black Necked Crane Festival creates awareness and importance of conserving the endangered species of Black Necked Crane.

The bird migrates to Phobjikha valley during the winter month and the festival is also celebrated in the month of November.

The festival includes folk dances and songs based on Black Necked Crane themes and other mask dances and cultural program.
